Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & BBC Springwatch: Strategic Partnership
In 2008, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve owned by Bill Jordan was in negotiations with the BBC to move its landmark Springwatch programme from its previous filming location in Devon to Pensthorpe. I was approached by Bill Jordan to negotiate with the BBC on all aspects of the marketing and promotional rights for Pensthorpe, including securing and working on a full PR and marketing plan for the duration of the programme. I worked closely with the Conservation team at Pensthorpe and its partners to align its goals as a wildlife tourism destination as well as the reintroduction work with the content of the programmes. The reserve continued as the featured Springwatch location for the next three seasons.
