It is B Corp Month 2025. How did that come around so quickly? At Fit for Purpose, we are incredibly proud to be part of the fast growing B Corp family, and are celebrating this month by featuring one of our favourite fellow B Corp partners here each week.
What is B Corp?
B Corp is a community of global businesses who meet high standards of social and environmental governance, and commit themselves to conducting business as though people and place truly matters. B Corps change their governing Articles to legally commit their directors to taking decisions which benefit all stakeholders and not just shareholders.
Why should I care?
Right now there has been a bit of a raid on ethical business led by a series of corporate ‘rollbacks’ on Net Zero, inclusive and fair people policies and standing up for human rights and social equality. The B Corp badge is a way to identify the Authentics from those businesses who are just paying lip service to doing business responsibly.
